ADPR Communications Team

The School of Advertising and Public Relations communications team is comprised of Staff, Graduate Assistants, and Social Media Interns. Together the team is responsible for the messaging of the School of Advertising and Public Relations which includes strategy, email and social media marketing, campaign developments, and content writing.

 

Lauren Ziegler, Coordinator

As Coordinator Lauren Ziegler leads the ADPR communications team and provides both strategic and creative input to the team. Part of her job is to provide outreach to current students and young alumni. Lauren handles the social media platforms for ADPR (@utadpr), UT Social Media Week (@utsmw/@utsocialmediaweek), and creates the web content for both websites. The School of Advertising and Public Relations provides administrative support to the Adam Brown Social Media Command Center (ABSMCC).

Lauren is the social media manager for the School of Advertising and Public Relations and the Social Media Ambassador for the Department of Anthropology. Her background is in anthropology and hire education, allowing her to bring a unique perspective to engaging with underrepresented and diverse students. She holds certificates in social media strategy and the anthropology of social media.

 

Cara Hunter, Social Media Intern 2018-2019 Cara Hunter

Cara Hunter joins the School of Advertising & Public Relations as the new social media intern. Cara is currently a junior at the University of Tennessee while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in public relations. In addition to her internship, Cara spends a large portion of her time as the assistant vice president of recruitment for the Panhellenic Council and as the sisterhood chair for Phi Mu while simultaneously completing academic and extracurricular work for the Chancellor’s Honors Program.

While working with ADPR, Cara plans to bring a positive and refreshing voice to various social media platforms. She hopes to utilize her personal connection to the program to create a meaningful presence on social media that encourages ADPR students to engage and enjoy.
