The scholarship deadline is February 1st. The scholarship values range from $250 to $2,000. Advertising and Public Relations majors are asked to fill out both forms to be eligible for scholarships. |The Bohan Scholarship||Advertising||Undergraduate||This scholarship is intended for students who have financial need and have demonstrated good academic performance.|
|Carol Poston Scholarship Fund||Advertising||Undergraduate||Students who have demonstrated successful academic performance and past recipients of this award will be given preference.|
|Jody Chambers Scholarship||Advertising||Junior / Senior||Students who have demonstrated successful academic performance, students with financial need and past recipeints of this award will be given preference.|
|Charles Tombras Scholarship||Advertising||Undergraduate||Preference is given to students who show interest in the creative function of advertising. Past recipients of this award will also be given first preference.|
|Christopher Grabenstein Advertising Student Support Endowment||Advertising||Undergraduate / Graduate||Students must have participated in advertising professional development trips to apply.|
|Linda Fisk & Ron Taylor Advertising Scholarship||Advertising||Junior / Senior / Graduate||Students who apply for this scholarship should have demonstrated academic excellence, an interest in advertising research, and/or show extreme financial hardship as well as outstanding professional promise. Preference is given to past recipients of the award.|
|Tutt and Elizabeth Bradford Advertising Scholarship||Advertising||Junior / Senior||This scholarship is awarded based upon student achievement in the advertising field and financial need.|
|Charles Davis Scholarships / Ad Club Scholarships||Advertising||Junior / Senior||Students must have a minimum 2.8 GPA. Financial need may also be considered.|
|Avron Spiro, Jr., Scholarship||Advertising / Public Relations||Undergraduate||Students must demonstrate excellent professional potential. Financial need may also be considered.|
|Conaway Brown, Inc. Advertising Endowment||Advertising||Not Specified.||This scholarship provides support for students who participate in pre-professional activites, such as, but not limited to, national and regional competitions, department trips to advertising agencies, and advertising conferences.|
Public Relations Scholarships
|Julian Harriss Public Relations Scholarship||Public Relations||Undergraduate||Students must demonstrate excellent professional promise and scholarship. Financial need may also be considered.|
|Karen and Frederick Buchsbaum Public Relations Student Scholarship||Public Relations||Juniors||Students must be from outside the state of Tennessee. Students must have demonstrated successful academic performance with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to past recipients of the award. Financial need may also be considered.|
|McNeely, Pigott and Fox Scholarship||Public Relations||Undergraduate / Graduate||Students must show professional promise in public relations. Financial need and acadmic performance my also be considered.|
|Randy & Glenda Neely Scholarship||Public Relations||Undergraduate||This award is given at the discretion of the Director.|
|Sammie Lynn Puett Public Relations Endowment||Public Relations||Senior||The Public Relations faculty award the Sammie Lynn Puett Award to the most outstanding senior who showed academic excellence.|

The J. Carroll Bateman Award goes to the graduating senior with the most professional promise.
Sammie Lynn Puett Award goes to a graduating senior with the high academic honors.
The School of Advertising and Public Relations depends on the financial contributions of its graduates and friends to advance and maintain the quality of its programs. Money to support student travel, faculty travel, and the purchase of classroom instructional equipment comes almost entirely from outside monies. In addition, generous alumni donations have established and maintain a strong program of scholarship support for undergraduates.
